CHEESEBOY NOW HIRING EXPERIENCED SHIFT MANAGERS FOR THEIR RESTAURANT

Founded in 2009, Cheeseboy is America’s first multi-unit fast-casual grilled cheese restaurant concept, offering a range of premium sandwiches, homestyle soups, all-natural mac & cheese, gourmet salads, and more. While Cheeseboy currently operates 8 different company-owned locations in multiple formats, from small kiosks to sit-down fast casual environments, all restaurants are managed under Cheeseboy’s core mission: “Committed to Comfort”. Our mission is driven not only by our sourcing policies, including our focus on using as many all-natural and responsibly sourced comfort-food ingredients as possible, but also in our commitment to providing 360 degrees of comfort to guests, team members, and the communities in which each restaurant operates.

Cheeseboy is looking for a strong leader to help manage and grow with the company as we seek to expand nationally. Leadership at Cheeseboy is about mentorship and coaching, so we are looking for individuals who have a passion for developing skills in other people and creating exceptionally strong morale within our restaurant teams. REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY

  • EXPERIENCE: The ideal Shift Manager candidate would have at least 1-2 years of experience working in a restaurant environment (QSR, fast casual, or regular dining)
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Offers exceptional customer service skills and exhibits obvious comfort interacting positively with guests
  • PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: Able to maintain and easily communicate solid knowledge of all products and services available at the restaurant
  • PERSONALITY: Understands how to treat team members with respect and kindness while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

REQUIREMENTS

  • Works well in a rapid-paced environment.
  • Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed at all times, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products
  • Helps clean and stock work area and customer areas as needed
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart, when needed
  • Moves and lifts food and beverage products and supplies (all positions require the ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs)
  • Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed (soup preparation, slicing cheese, cutting vegetables, cooking meats, sandwich prep)
  • Regularly cleans and sanitizes work station and equipment
  • Can easily bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Speaks, reads and comprehends instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English.
