Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse - (Cath Lab RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 10 D/E
Ast Cath RN MGR position - As assistant manager you will be involved in managing a wonderful staff of 30 RN's, 15 techs in 4 cath labs and 3 EP labs. Candidate must have NJ Lic and experience in Cath Lab, EP exp helpful. Will be involved in scheduling, payroll, and will be required to back up staff and jump in as needed with cases. Equipment is GE, MacLab, and Apollo. Salary based on experience for this perm position.
The role of the cardiac catheterization lab nurse (cath lab RN) is to administer care for heart disease and heart attack patients by obtaining visual diagnostics of the arteries of the heart, identifying blockages, assisting the physician during procedures, and monitoring the patient’s status at other times. The cath lab nurse may also help administer interventional procedures like cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, pacemaker and/or defibrillator implantation, and related interventional or diagnostic procedures. Cath lab RNs must be highly specialized and work to stay abreast of the latest techniques in cardiac medicine.
