PT Truck Driver/shop helper

We have an immediate opening for a PT Truck Driver/shop helper.

Must be able to work various shifts per week and be available weekdays.

Truck Driver/ Shop Helper Position Job Description: This job is approximately 40% driving, 20% preparing material for delivery, 30% helping out in the metal fabrication shop, and 10% handyman projects. The main task of this job is delivering steel and other metal products that we fabricate to our customers throughout Southern California. The truck we have is an automatic transmission 24ft commercial Izusu flatbed truck. The job does not require any special licensing, formal training or previous experience with metal. We are looking for someone who will be able to help out in the fabrication shop with things like; holding material while it is being formed, grinding and cleaning parts. There may also be some basic handyman skills required. The tasks for this job change daily and it is also a very hands on job, where you will often be working outside. This is a physically demanding position that requires the use of potentially dangerous tools, machinery, and materials. Job Requirements: U.S. Citizen Valid CA Drivers License Fluent in English Able to lift 70Lbs At least 21yrs old Clean Driving Record (No Felonies) Reliable transportation Pay & Hours: $11-$13/hr depending on experience Approximately 20-35 hours per week, depending on our shop workload. The hours for this job are flexible and different each week, there is no set schedule for this job but we do have experience working with students schedules.
