Our Customer Service teams have a serious responsibility to make every contact informative, productive, positive, and memorable for what it says about how much we care.
 

This role will require you to take Incoming calls and manage requests for services from Members and from Providers. In addition, you will be required to enter information into a database and provide information to Members regarding available Network services. You will be tasked, at times, to transfer Members, as appropriate, to Clinical staff (Nurse, Medical Director, etc.). You will also be required to manage the Referrals process. This involves processing Incoming and Outgoing referrals and document them in the system. On average, you will be handling 20 plus calls a day, along with other Administrative duties, as assigned. The dress code is business casual, and this is a Call Center environment.  

 


Employees in this position include those responsible for initial Triage of members, Administrative Intake of members or managing the Admission/discharge information post-notification, and working with hospitals and the Clinical team. Function includes managing Incoming calls, managing requests for services from Providers/members, providing information on available Network services and transferring members as appropriate to Clinical staff. Also manages the Referrals process, processes Incoming and Outgoing Referrals, and Prior Authorizations. This function also includes Intake, Notification and Census roles.



Primary Responsibilities:



  • Respond to Incoming Provider and Enrollee calls.

  • Resolve Customer Service inquiries which could include:


    • Entering notifications and Providers' status of an existing notification, and determining if notification is required; and

    • Completing Notification Wizard, along with ICD-9 and CPT Coding.

  • Provide excellent Customer Service to both Providers and Enrollees.

  • Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance.

  • Assist with faxes and emails

  • Moderate work experience within own function.

  • Some work is completed without established procedures.

  • Basic tasks are completed without review by others.

  • Supervision/guidance is required for higher-level tasks.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in an Office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a Clerical or Administrative role.

  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Assets:



  • Knowledge of Healthcare and Insurance Benefits.

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Coding (ICD-9 and CPT).

  • Experience in a high volume Call Center.

  • Professional experience in a Hospital or Medical Clinic.

  • Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid.
