**IMMEDIATE SHIPPING SUPERVISOR OPENING** 7:00AM - 3:30PM Monday - Friday
Seeking for a hands on Shipping Supervisor to help in the shipping department with supervising 7-8 employees while working hands on with operating a forklift on a daily basis.
Requirements:
MUST be a very strong FLO operator
This will be a hands on role, will be operating the Forklift to load and unload trucks most of the time, but will be expected to perform supervisory responsibilities while doing so. These include:
Organizing work flow
Planning space management of product
tracking inventory
Directing personnel
Dealing with shipping issues
Coordinating loading/unloading
Recommending improvements to management
**One of the more difficult parts of the position will be to learn all of the different materials and shipping process and locations for each. There are 3 buildings with several loading docs, so the ability to learn on the fly and organization skills are crucial.
Will be supervising 7 warehouse people with varying personalities, so this person must be able to gain respect and credibility in the beginning. Looking for a cross between good professionalism and the ability to build relationships with people from warehouse personnel to management to ownership.
