Field Service Technician
- Ensure work orders/PIR’s are filled out properly and in a timely manner.
- Convey all information to the proper contact at the customer’s location to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Recognize and recommend safety and EPA issues.
- Operate a service vehicle and keep in good working order and stocked correctly, maintained to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Practice safety and good housekeeping at customer site, in shop and in all circumstances
- Help out where needed (Shop) or as directed by Management
- Operate company vehicles in a safe, courteous manner, in all traffic.
- Communicate with Management and Sales on any customer issues.
- Actively promote point of sale items and allied products and services.
- Proper use of company funds and assets in the execution of the job.
- Represent our client in a neat and professional manner in accordance with our clients standards

Technician Position Details:

1. Location - Field work based out of individual branch location. Contractor will work on Customer sites, visiting branch on occasion.
2. Start Date - Interviews in Tampa week of 5/13. 2-3 weeks on front end will be training.
3. Type of Contract ? contract to hire
5. Starting Pay Rate - they have been bringing the contractors in at $15/hr.
6. Shift Times - 7 am to 4 pm
7. Travel - Local travel required most days
8. Company Vehicle - Company will be providing vehicle and tools

This technician will be working with Motive Power applications. Examples include forklifts, standing lifts and also chargers. The position includes basic shop repair work, warehouse duties as well as performing regional service calls at customer site to diagnose and repair batteries, chargers and battery handling equipment. The ideal candidate will:

- Have battery industry or related experience (would be great, but not necessary)
- Have an understanding of basic AC/DC electrical theory
- Possess a CDL (all candidates MUST meet eligibility to obtain a our client)
- Comfortable working with minimal direct supervision on a daily basis as their work will mostly be remote, scheduled by the local service coordinator
- Confident in a variety of customer situations ranging from standard maintenance to calls from irate customers with non-functioning equipment

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of standard shop tools.
- Good understanding of basic electricity/electronics.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure and technical manuals.
- Ability to calculate prices accurately when quoting estimates or completion of the work order for billing purposes, such as adding, subtracting, percentages and volume.
- Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions on the work that needs to be performed.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good written, communication and customer satisfaction skills.
- High degree of organization, deadline focus, self-motivation and accountability.
