About this job
The ware house worker is accountable for examining inventory of all merchandise in assigned docks. All scheduled orders are reviewed to make certain each purchased item is picked and available for delivery preparation. Merchandise is checked for quality; including verification that all necessary parts and hardware is present. The worker pre-assembles required items, before loading up for transit. Any changes to scheduled orders, such as add-on’s, cancellations or rescheduled orders are physically added or removed accurately. After deliveries are loaded and trucks are dispatched, the worker is responsible for maintaining clean and organized docks.
Employee will need to be able to:
- Ensure SO’s are correctly identified
- Open inventory of all product in assigned docks
- Ensure any necessary parts or hardware is present
- Inspect inventory of all product in assigned docks for quality
- Repair any damages, or replace if cannot be repaired
- Assemble any merchandise needed, including the attachment of handles
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, bending knees, crouch, or crawl, site with ability to distinguish color. The employee is rarely required to sit.
