Position Description:

 


As the Associate Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for updating existing documentation and creating new documentation, according to specified timelines. Review documentation for clarity, content, and consistency with established department standards and ensure compliance with business rules. Collaborate with Senior Documentation staff and/or business partners for instruction, guidance, or direction. Proactively manage task assignments or documentation projects to due dates, and report status. Facilitate small-size documentation efforts. Organize and facilitate meetings to review, resolve conflict with, and/or approve documentation, and report status. 

You will mentor less-experienced Team members, especially New Hires and Documentation Specialist-level employees. Make recommendations for content/format improvements. Make recommendations for department or business partner process improvements. Perform research required to update/develop documentation. Publish documentation according to established protocol. Assist leadership with business issue resolution. Meet or exceed established business MBOs of quality and speed to delivery. Display competencies of "Act Ethically, Focus on Customers, Act as a Team Player, Communicate Effectively, Support Change and Innovation, Make Fact-Based Decisions, Deliver Quality Results."

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1+ year of Technical Writing experience (SOPs/ Policy and Procedures).
  • Intermediate (or higher) level of Microsoft Word experience.        
  • HTML Coding experience.




Assets:


  • Bachelor's of Arts or Bachelor's of Science in English, or other Communications-based program is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with AP (Associated Press) Guidelines is preferred.
  • Technical Communications experience is a plus.
