About this job

Aerotek Professional Services is looking for an Accounting Assistant for a client in Washington, DC. This individual will be responsible for processing invoices, ability to meet deadlines and prioritize deliverables, maintaining files and general ledgers, communication with Staff Accountants, Controller and CFO on statuses of invoices, expense reports and other assigned tasks. This individual will also be responsible for charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries, contacting vendors for status of payment- schedules vendor payments by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers and obtaining W-9’s; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing r purchase order amendments.



Qualified Candidates:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting
6 months experience
