  • Delivers and sets up respiratory equipment for Apria patients.
  • Conducts downloads of recording devices such as apnea monitors, oximeters, CPAP devices, and other respiratory equipment.
  • Performs functional tests on certain respiratory equipment as required by branch.
  • Instructs patients on the basic use of their self-administration of respiratory equipment, as approved by local and state licensure limitations.
  • Ensures that patients understand the proper operation and maintenance of the equipment.
  • Conducts appropriate patient follow-up contacts. Responds to emergency calls on an on-call basis with clinical backup.
  • Prepares and maintains a record for each patient containing all pertinent patient information, care plans, physician prescriptions and follow-up documentation.
  • Consults with respiratory care practitioner regarding patient treatment, medical condition and home environment.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.


Qualifications

  • Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
  • At least one year related experience is required.
  • Must possess a valid and current driver's license and auto insurance.
