RESPONSIBILITIES: Orientation of new associates and their job requirements Train other team members in quality standards and pre-assigned techniques for production Lead team in problem solving activities and implement corrective action Implement and administer employee skill level evaluations Understand production schedules and customer requirements, allocate resources accordingly Maintain production board and control daily Follow applicable EMS/QMS policies, procedures, and work instructions Instruct team members to understand production responsibilities Audit product and process according to quality standards and ensure that proper procedures are followed Accurately complete documentation forms as required Control hourly patrol sheets and documentation accordingly Coordinate and help with breaks Maintain attendance records, vacation schedules and attendance reports Fully understand and apply all responsible procedures within the quality manual Assist in problem solving for material on hold or rework and coordinate completion of paperwork for rework Supervise die setters Make sure mold changes occur in a timely manner, perform and assist with mold changes as needed Manage mold change/mold repair records Use resources to maintain my mold my machine program Coach and assist in mold care and cleaning Assist in workstation setup and process control of production items Maintain work areas, support/develop 5s activities to maintain clean work area Monitor and report scrap performance in QAD daily and improve/problem solve in those areas of high scrap Seek ways for Kaizen in all areas of safety, quality, delivery, production, process and morale Effectively conduct regular Genba meetings Enforce consistently and fairly all company policies Requires working off hours Level up mind set required Any other duties as specified by supervisor Perform other duties as requested Injection molding experience, overhead crane, supervisory experience needed. SKILLS REQUIRED: High school degree(some advance education preferred) 2-4 years of supervisory experience 3-5 years injection molding/plastics experience Die setting Hilo Understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001:2008 Knowledge of computer applications Strong ability to lead and motivate others Skills/training in employee relations Troubleshooting skills Problem solving Basic writing skills Basic math skills Understanding of the company Environmental Management System/Quality Management System PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard Must be able to sit/stand for up to 12 hours per day Must be able to use both hands Must be able to grasp/grip parts, knives, nippers and foam 4-6 times per minute, up to 12 hours per day Must be able to bend, twist and lift 10-20 times per hour Must be able to climb a 4-6 ft step ladder, 4-6 times per hour Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.,8-10 times per hour
