Press Operator

Manpower is looking for candidates for a Press Operator for the Ashland, MA Job Description *To perform all duties of running a Flexographic press according to specifications *Read and understand all documents pertaining to the printing process *Determine and adheres to order specifications including color, size, label type and stock; will be responsible for producing the entire job correctly *Set-up press by loading stock, adjusting for size, retrieving appropriate inks, mounts and sets printing plates and cylinders, adjusts pressure tensions, loads and sets inking mechanism, and sets controls *Establishes printing quality adherence by pulling proof copies; adjusting ink distribution and speed of press *Operate, and monitor production throughout the run making adjustments as necessary to press to maintain highest quality throughout job runs *Operators will feed the Flexographic press with appropriate stock that may weigh up to 60-70 lbs *Maintain a clean and organized work area and press *Minimizes downtime by troubleshooting stoppages and breakdowns *Ensures that all equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition by performing routine and preventative maintenance of press Job Requirements * Experience operating a press * Basic mechanical aptitude/skills * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures and manuals * Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division * Must be able to read a ruler * Quality conscious with good organizational skills * Productivity skills a must * Lifting up to 70 lbs * Position hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If interested in this position located in Ashland, Ma please call Manpower office at 603-625-5378 Thank you
