Relief Dispatcher (Transfer Hauling)

The Relief Dispatcher is responsible for assistance in entering, scheduling common carrier (CC) loads, bills of lading (BOL), loads to Northwest p.m. shift and bag in box (BIB) orders.

Location

The Relief Dispatcher position is based out of Vernon, California.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is first shift (2:00 am to 10:30 am), Monday through Friday.

Pay is $33,000 per year plus overtime.

Position Responsibilities

1) Assist in entering and scheduling common carrier (CC) loads, p.m. shift and bag in box (BIB) orders.

2) Enter Plastipak loads in Ryder.

3) Gather all paperwork from previous day, bills of lading (BOL), daily time sheets, DOT logs, driver vehicle inspection

reports (DVIR), and Kronos lunch sheets. Make copies of all bag in box (BIB) and bills of lading (BOL). Separate and file.

4) Audit DOT Logs and driver vehicle inspection reports for mistakes and notify drivers to make corrections.

5) Re-caps on stops and cases delivered, weight, miles driven and hours. Re-cap on DOT Logs and driver vehicle inspection reports.

6) Audit vehicle inspection books for repairs and signatures.

7) Copies of all necessary drivers forms when running low.

8) Full dispatch duties during vacations, meetings or sick call.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

3 years logistics dispatch in consumer packaged goods, direct store delivery in trucking/transport environment (beverage

experience a plus)

2 years SAP experience

6 months RyderTrak experience
