Post-Anesthesia Care Unit - PACU Nurse - (PACU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D, 12 E Pay Rate: $28.71 *
The role of the post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU nurse) is to provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. The PACU RN treats inpatients and outpatients according to their needs, monitoring their vital signs to determine necessary care. (Postoperative nausea is a commonly treated symptom.) Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient’s physiological condition, PACU RNs are required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
Required Qualifications
Nurse manager or assistant nm references from last two jobs
2 years PACU experience
Travelers would work in the PACU Go Where Needed Pool
Shifts: 12 hour evening (11am-11:30pm) 2 positions; (6a-2:30) 8 hour days - M-F in the pre-op areas. his experience could be PACU/ Ambulatory Surgery/Endoscopy/ or even ED seems to be a good fit for Preop
