Perioperative Nurse - Operating Room Nurse - (OR RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D, 8 E, 8 D/E Pay Rate: $33.00 *
With a caregiving model based on optimal patient outcomes, the well regarded team members of this Operating Room (OR) unit seek a compassionate, driven RN to join their ranks. This environment is creative and patient-centric, providing a unique opportunity to work on complex cases with a dedicated team. Your expertise will be utilized to provide the best of patient care within this innovative Operating Room (OR) unit.
The role of the perioperative nurse / operating room nurse (OR RN) is to provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery or surgical procedures. The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant or operating room director with additional training. Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field; scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. Perioperative nurses work in every type of healthcare facility, including hospitals, ambulatory or outpatient surgery centers, and physician offices.
Required Qualifications
MUST HAVE
MI license prior to RFO;
2 years exp in specialty as RN;
1 year of previous travel required (they will not bend on this);
2 References from a Supervisor or Nurse Manager (no charge RN
Travel experience
Variety of services (neurosurgery, orthopedic, otolaryngology, general, oral and urology).
require strong pediatric and adult OR experience.
