As a Senior Java Web Developer you will be part of an exciting team focused on writing complex web application code and developing applications leveraging multiple tools, languages, processes, and technologies.  We are a leading technology company in the healthcare space and are daily pushing the limits technology in our efforts to improve people's lives.

Primary Responsibilities:
 
- Mentoring and performing code reviews of junior programmers
- Work with software development professionals building portal applications in the J2EE/Portal environment
- Building and managing relationships with business team to understand their goals
- Proposing technology solutions to enable the business to meet/exceed those goals
- Engaging in application architecture and design decisions
- Delivering a robust self-service environment for the end user community
- Implementing/maintaining a repeatable iterative software development methodology
- Managing SDLC processes and associated artifacts
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with SDLC processes
- Communicating with stakeholders and management team on a regular basis in a concise manner
- Troubleshoot production support issues post release deployment and come up with solutions.
-  Ability to solve complex production issues.

Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience.

- 8+ years of application development experience, including application architecture and design

- 6+ years of hands on experience with J2EE, Spring 2.5+, Hibernate, Struts frameworks

- 4+ years of experience with SOA technologies

- 4+ years of Unix experience

- Experience delivering web-based technology solutions to meet business needs

- Proven success using and driving a repeatable, iterative software development methodology

- Track record of completing software development projects on-time and on-budget

- Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence business leadership and technologists

Assets:

- Experience with WSDL, SOAP, Web services, XML Schemas, JDBC

- Experience with JQuery, JMS, JSP, Maven, CQ5, HTML, Apache, AngularJS, Scala

- Java5+ certified

- Experience with offshore resources

- Knowledge of the healthcare industry
