Responsibilities:
· Responsible for development activities associated with the Optum Advocacy product, including market research, channel and feature development, and creating a value proposition to enable growth
· Thinks strategically, and creatively, about how the consumer experience within the Advocacy experience should work – translating a vision to processes and requirements
· Works across Optum and UnitedHealth Group businesses to ensure Advocacy is designed to complement broader organizational goals
· Supports the development of market and sales strategies and value proposition
· Forecasts revenue or savings opportunities associated with product development initiatives
· Prioritizes multiple demands and ideas based on available resources
· Supports decisions and acts quickly and effectively to sustain progress
· Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.
· Navigates and influences multiple cross-functional teams in a complex, matrix work environment
Influences innovation across teams to ensure aligned; cohesive progress across multiple areas including technology, marketing, and service operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 4+ years of marketing, product and/or project management experience within a matrix organization
- Demonstrated ability to influence teams and prioritize deliverables
- Highly organized, driven, and accountable
- A self-starter who can operate well in a changing environment and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Must be able to work in the Twin Cities Optum offices (primarily Golden Valley and Eden Prairie, MN)
- MBA degree
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry
- Able to balance strategic thinking with the urgency to drive work forward
- Adapt quickly to changes in work direction and able to pivot work accordingly
- Creative problem solver
- Naturally curious
- Team player with strong ability to form working professional relationships
- Experience using data and research to formulate logical business recommendations
