Large Airline company at the Boston Logan Int'l Airport is looking for a talented and quality mechanical assembler for the GSE maintenance shop.
The entry level mechanical assembler performs general maintenance of non-motorized Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This position is responsible for utilizing appropriate tooling, equipment and materials to accomplish maintenance functions including but not limited to the following: inspections, repairing, removing and replacing components on all non-motorized equipment.
People selected will be responsible for doing preventive maintenance and repair of all non-motorized ground support equipment. The job consists of assembly and disassembly of bag carts, transporters, and dollies to make repairs to the damaged sections of these products. Candidates should be able to use basic hand tools, power tools and other electrical equipment in order to make the repairs. The work will include taking off wheels, working on the skin of the carts, replacing parts if needed, and other light mechanical duties.
Requirements:
-Candidates should meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions including the ability to lift at least 70 pounds.
-Must practice safety and environmental conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures using personal protective equipment such as: gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection etc..
-Must be willing to submit to a DOT regulated Drug test and 10 year background check.
-Must have high school diploma or GED, valid Driver's License, and reliable transportation.
