Labor & Delivery Nurse - (LD RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 D Pay Rate: $27.00 - 31.00
As a valued member of the Women's and Children's Hospital nursing team, you will extend care to a vast array of patient cases. This unit distinguishes itself by offering a comprehensive experience for all patients. Women's and Children's Hospital upholds a tradition of quality care. As the second largest birthing hospital in the state of Louisiana, the staff is focused on the health and comfort of babies and their mothers. Amenities in the L&D include Spacious rooms with a home-like setting, dedicated OB surgery suite for emergency deliveries, a10-bed antenatal unit for high-risk pregnancies, with a specially trained staff , advanced fetal monitoring technology, Maternal fetal medicine program , a 45-bed well-baby nursery, and a 50-bed Level III Regional Status Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This facility's Labor and Delivery (L&D) team currently seeks an RN to join their elite group.

Labor and delivery (LD) nurses provide care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages. They provide support and monitor vital signs of the mother and baby during birth and deal with any potential problems. They may also provide support and education to mothers and their families after giving birth. LD nurses are found in hospitals, clinics and physician offices, and maternity or birthing centers.
Required Qualifications
Intermediate AWOHHN
-ACLS NRP
three years experience in specialty
computerized charting skills
state licensure or compact state licensure
current certifications
