Our well known client in Cambridge, MA is seeking multiple candidates for a fluent (written & speaking) German transcriptionist.
Candidates will be transcribing 5-10 second German audio clips into text. They will be working on-site in Cambridge, MA Mon-Fri 9-5pm.
Required skills for this position:
1. Must be a native German speaker, or very fluent in German language and knowledgeable about German pop culture
2. Fluent in English
3. Ability to write clearly and accurately in both English and German
4. Very comfortable using a computer and typing in German and English (at least 60 WPM typing rate)
We are seeking an experienced full and part-time German Data Analyst to transcribe and annotate German speech. The candidate will work under the direction of the Language Data Program Manager, and must be capable of delivering high quality data under aggressive time constraints. Specifically, the Analyst will:
- Work with management on adapting transcription and annotation guidelines for the German language.
- Provide hands-on transcription and annotation services.
- Translate established guidelines into daily work practices.
- Work with management on workload scheduling and deliverables.
Basic Qualifications
To be in consideration for this role you must possess:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to languages or linguistics.
- Excellent German language skills. All candidates must be native German speakers.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge or awareness of popular culture in German-speaking countries.
- Computer literacy.
- Comprehension of a variety of German accents.
- Ability to type at least 60 wpm.
- Communication skills and experience working with technical teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous transcription or annotation experience is preferred.
