POSITION PURPOSE -

  • The Aviation Service Technician performs detailed facility and ramp support that includes aircraft and passenger services.
  • This position supports key aircraft security standards; passenger relations; passenger and baggage coordination; facilities maintenance; detailed cleaning of aircraft (interior and exterior); and general hangar maintenance and janitorial services.
  • This position manages cabin functionality; jet fueling; fuel offload; fuel inventory & QC; ramp movement; and the purchase/restock of supplies for aircraft cabin and commissary inventory.
  • This position also supports facilities maintenance and repair including exterior lawn care and general upkeep.
  • Clean aircraft (interior and exterior) and hangar, and purchase and restock supplies for aircraft cabin and for commissary.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

  • 20% Purchasing and restocking aircraft cabin supplies
  • 15% Managing aircraft cabin.
  • 25% Purchasing and restocking commissary items.
  • 20% Detailed cleaning of aircraft interior, washing exterior surfaces and polishing brightwork.
  • 10% Facility cleaning.

NATURE AND SCOPE -

Typically reports to Lead Line Technician.
This position has no direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 1

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of experience Interior and exterior aircraft cleaning
  • 1 year experience Towing business aircraft
  • Ability to work flexible shift including nights and weekends as required
  • Strong customer service focus and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

-
  • Knowledgeable of janitorial services, specifically building, hangar and aircraft cleaning.
  • Skills - Inventory Control Experience, Effective Communication, basic Computer Skills Office 95/97 and Customer Service.
  • Abilities- Able to lift 40lbs and handle multiple projects.
  • Experienced with Vendor Relations, Product Purchasing, and strong Customer Service skills.
