Program Administrative Coordinator

The Program Administrative Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Director in planning, supervising, monitoring and coordinating the operations of a program providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implements curriculum for consumers served in conjunction with the Program Design.
  • Supervises the work of program staff to ensure plans and schedules are implemented.
  • Ensures that community integration hours are met within the service offices.
  • Develops and implements activity schedules, including paid and volunteer opportunities for consumers, with guidance from Program Director.
  • Plans, coordinates and evaluates staff efforts to achieve program, organization and consumer outcomes.
  • Conducts staff training.
  • Oversees consumer care, supervision, and safety while in the program office.
  • Ensures consumers rights.
  • Maintains and monitors professional relationships with the consumers, employees, external customers.
  • Conducts site checks in the center, if applicable, and in the community.
  • Facilitates self-advocacy meetings.
  • Provides daily support to the service office including crisis management assistance when needed.
  • Acts as Direct Support Professional as needed to meet regulatory requirements.
  • As needed manages the program in the absence of the Program Director
  • Other duties as assigned.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field or 3 years’ experience in a human services delivery system including at least 1 year in a comparable program.
  • At least 3 years’ experience providing support to persons with developmental disabilities.

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication, flexibility and decision making skills.
  • Computer and internet research skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide staff training and supervision.

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance.
  • Must pass health screening, TB test and criminal background checks.

CA Mentor is seeking a Program Administrative Coordinator to plan, monitor and coordinate the daily planning and operations of a program providing services. This role will coordinate and schedule program activities consistent with consumer personal support / habilitation plans and communicating with the staff, consumers, parents / guardians, and team members to ensure that appropriate services and supports are provided.
