Position Summary:

Prepare layouts of new designs or configurations as directed by an engineer or manager. Efforts include design conception, detail drawings and working with drafters to complete the design documents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop new designs and configurations of pressure pumping equipment. Creation of weight studies, assembly details, labor efforts to complete design packages and to build the unit.
Creation of design specifications and communication with vendors for cost estimates
Possess an effective knowledge of welding and machining practices
Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve problems.
Establish project schedules and meet them
Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
Lay out and draw 3D, schematic or other views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
Manage drawings and minimize drawing errors
Possess effective communication skills to convey information and mentor others within the group
Confer with customer representatives to review schematics and answer questions pertaining to installation of systems.
Performs other related duties as required.

Educational and Other Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associates Degree in Mechanical or related technology with CAD software classroom training required.
Minimum four years work related skill, knowledge, experience or vocational training required.
Possess effective skills with Solid Works; knowledge of others systems is preferred
Knowledge of document management systems, ECN procedures, revision tracking, etc
Word and Excel knowledge.
Sensitive to the confidentiality agreement required with company.
Must work independently and as a member of team.
Ability to travel on an infrequent basis, both daily and overnight
Able to pass any required screening and have the ability to drive light duty vehicles
