Job Description:
The Mr. Rooter Plumbing Technician is responsible to work with other service professionals, departments, vendors, and contractors to deliver effective and efficient plumbing services to our valued customers in accordance with all relative Plumbing Code statutes. He/She will perform general plumbing maintenance, repairs, and drain cleaning services using the Mr. Rooter 14 step system.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a high school diploma (or GED), a minimum of one year field experience, formal training and/or certification in the trade, a current and unrestricted driver's license, a professional set of hand tools, and the physical ability to perform all requirements associated with this position.
The ideal candidate would live within the franchise service boundaries: El Cerrito, Albany, Berkeley, Kensington, Alameda, Oakland, San Leandro. A candidate would still be considered if living somewhat close to any of these cities.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
*Provides general plumbing and drain cleaning services for customers as assigned by the dispatcher.
*Communicates all information to the dispatcher to include but not limited to : job arrival, estimated time to complete job, job completion, etc.
*Follows the Mr. Rooter 14 Step System on all calls.
*Exhibits proficiency diagnosing customer concerns and estimating solutions using the Menu Pricing Guide.
*Has the ability to use an iPad to process all service calls.
