CDL Driver / Equipment Operator

We are a local industrial contracting firm that has been in business over 30 years and looking forward to 30 more. We have five different divisions that include Industrial Cleaning, Mechanical, Utilities, Industrial Coatings, and Commercial Construction. We are rapidly growing and are in need of mature, responsible, motivated, and hard-working individuals with a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Skilled individuals in the areas of industrial cleaning, utility, pump & haul services, pipe cleaning, hydro-blasting or media blasting are preferred. Prior combination or pump truck experience is a plus. Individuals with Class A or B CDL are required.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
*Driving class B vehicles and performing necessary duties for full operation (pumper, vac machine, dump bed, etc.)
*Operate heavy, motorized equipment used in construction operations in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
*Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
*Work outdoors on location in all weather conditions and on all terrain, usually from the early morning hours until late afternoon/early evening.
*Equipment operators inspect the equipment/vehicles to ensure safety and avoid damage
*Repair or assist in the repair and maintenance of the construction vehicles
*Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required including fluid and filter changes and parts lubrication
*Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
*Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
*Clean equipment as scheduled and/or required
*Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored
*Practice workplace safety per OSHA standards
*Be able to handle physically strenuous and demanding conditions.
*Prepared to work in all types of weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
*Ability to work independently and to stay on top of the schedule.
*Good analytical and problem solving skills
*Lift items of 50lb. or more overhead
*Read and write to keep up with daily records
*Deal with the public in a positive, courteous and respectful manner

Skills & Attributes:
*Knowledge of equipment operations, safety, maintenance, record keeping and proper storage
*Must have CDL certification; experience driving and operating pumper and dump trucks a plus
*Good analytical and problem solving skills
*Effective verbal, listening, and communications skills
*Ability to read and write to keep up with daily records
*Ability to deal with the public in a positive, courteous and respectful manner
*Team-oriented personality
*Honest and trustworthy

Wages are dependent on experience, skills and certifications (ex. CDL driver, forklift certification, etc.).

Experience and Requirements:
*High School diploma or GED required
*Valid Driver's License is a MUST
*Good driving record; 0 or better points is a plus
*Able to pass a drug test
*Able to pass a background check
