POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide security for the residents at Maple Crest Independent Living and Pine Oaks Assisted Living.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patrols Maple Crest on foot, checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity or persons or safety/fire hazards.
  • Investigates and/or reports hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances to Security Guard Coordinator and/or law enforcement.
  • Checks doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked; notes in written log any unlocked doors/windows; communicates via text message to Security Guard Coordinator upon the completion of property inspections.
  • Assists any persons on the grounds needing directions or information.

COMPENTENCIES:

  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • To be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • To be able to reach, bend, kneel and squat.
  • To be able to walk and stand on a repetitive and constant basis.
  • To be able to use step stools.
  • To be able to hear call system, pager signals, walkie-talkies and spoken English language.
  • To be able to wear protective gloves supplied by facility.
  • To be able to be in contact with domestic pets.
