POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide security for the residents at Maple Crest Independent Living and Pine Oaks Assisted Living.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patrols Maple Crest on foot, checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity or persons or safety/fire hazards.
- Investigates and/or reports hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances to Security Guard Coordinator and/or law enforcement.
- Checks doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked; notes in written log any unlocked doors/windows; communicates via text message to Security Guard Coordinator upon the completion of property inspections.
- Assists any persons on the grounds needing directions or information.
COMPENTENCIES:
- To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures.
- Skilled in both verbal and written communication.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- To be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- To be able to reach, bend, kneel and squat.
- To be able to walk and stand on a repetitive and constant basis.
- To be able to use step stools.
- To be able to hear call system, pager signals, walkie-talkies and spoken English language.
- To be able to wear protective gloves supplied by facility.
- To be able to be in contact with domestic pets.
