Part-time Maintenance

Part-time Maintenance Person- 29 hours a week 

LOCATION: North Portland

SALARY: $15.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: 29 hours a week.  Monday through Friday. During school year, between 6:45am-3:15pm. Non-school days, 8:00am-4:30pm

JOB DESCRIPTION: A non-profit school has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance person to help with an increased work load for at least 3-4 months, possibly longer. This maintenance position will be assisting with preparation of an upcoming construction project by clearing out classrooms as well as the daily responsibilities of helping out where needed.

The duties may include:
• Ensuring that structures, ventilating, heating, electrical, plumbing, security and sound systems are well-maintained.
• Basic repairs to plumbing and electrical systems
• Basic repairs to sheet rock, plaster, brick and stone work
• Ensure fire extinguishers/alarm systems and smoke detectors are inspected regularly
• Ensure parking lots are clean and well-maintained
• Maintain grounds
• Coordinate work with external contractors

QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered for this position, you must have at least 3 years experience as a Maintenance Specialist performing responsibilities as stated in the job description, willingness to help out where needed, and ability to work with little supervision.

Due to the nature of the organization, candidate must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
