Position: Part-Time or Full Time FLOOR TECHNICIAN – Crew Chief in Training

Reporting Relationship: Lead Supervisor/Market Manager

Position Summary: To perform assigned project work, floor work, (stripping, scrubbing, waxing, buffing and various types of carpet cleaning, window cleaning, debris removal, basic janitorial), tasks as scheduled promptly, efficiently and cheerfully.

 

Responsibilities:

-          Maintain work schedule and calendar daily

-          Complete work orders for all jobs, collecting necessary job data to perform job efficiently in budget and to help price job accurately

-          Bid accurately and Profitably

-          Perform all project and floor work scheduled in buildings or homes and night or in the day

-          Perform all work in the allocated amount of time

-          Keep the floor van in clean and neat condition

-          Keep equipment clean and report any problems with equipment to Logistics Manager

-          Be security minded and responsible for security while working

-          Be responsible for the keys assigned

-          Drive in a responsible manner and obey all traffic regulations

-          Look neat and clean while working

-          Be polite and considerate to the customers and people in the building

-          Be able to lift 50 pounds

-          Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 4 hours

-          Abide by the rules in the Employee Handbook

-          Be available to work and meet flexible scheduling requirements

-          Work miscellaneous warehouse projects as directed by management.

 

Standards of Performance:

-          All jobs will have work orders (residential will have estimate sheets) completed the prior day of service

-          Be organized and be on time for work.

-          Call the office by at least 2 hours prior to shift start of any day when you are sick and can’t work

-          Time card accurately and completely filled out and turned in on time

-          Call in to time keeping system in the required manner

-          Submit all required paperwork daily; including work orders, receipts, material requests, and any other.

-          Work completed in budgeted amount of time

-          Floor van is neat and organized daily

-          Uniform is clean and neat and worn while at work.

-          No smoking in building or while working except when on breaks outside the building in designated areas.

-          Not under the influence of intoxicating substances while at work

-          When working in building all doors are locked and no one is admitted to building

-          Lost or damaged keys are reported to manager.

-          Wear ID badge while at work

-          Follow all job requirements

-          Must be able to lift 75 pounds
