As a Business Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to provide data analysis to support, compile and report key information for operations and business objectives. This is a position that affords you the ability to drive processes and improvement initiatives. By gathering and documenting business requirements and utilizing your sharp analytical skills to fulfill the needs of the business and/or clients, you will have an impact on healing the health care system. Positions in this function conduct and manage outcomes of various studies that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for operational and business planning. They support short and long term operational/strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. They also develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Gather and document business requirements
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for the business and clients
  • Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience
  • Produce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc client and operational reports relating to the development and performance of products, processes and technologies
  • Define and document business processes and projects
  • Consult with business departments to identify requirements
  • Evaluate system changes for downstream system and/or organizational impacts
  • Prioritize and track all issues to resolution
  • Escalate issues to the Project Manager as appropriate
  • Provide agendas and follow up with meeting minutes
  • Develop and maintain working relationships at all levels of the business unit
  • Validate that all functions perform according to the relevant specifications
  • Facilitate and or assist with group meetings
  • Manage small to medium projects from inception through implementation
  • Manage organizational change
  • Comply with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology
  • Provide required problem and status and time reporting
  • Analyzes and investigates.
  • Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Business Analyst experience
  • 2+ years of medical claims health insurance experience
  • 2+ years of experience with the System Development Life Cycle
  • 2+ years of gathering and documenting project requirements/specifications
  • High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years related experience OR Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Medicare or Medicaid experience
  • Provider data experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Proficiency with MS Project
  • Proficiency with MS Visio
