Primary Responsibilities:



  • Interact and meet with eligible individuals at their homes and/or various sites throughout the community/ service area to enroll them into UnitedHealthcare government programs (NY State Medicaid and Child Health Plus)

  • Maintain high level of collaboration between UnitedHealth Group and community-based partners and other state and government agencies in the New York five borough area

  • Perform community marketing and outreach to promote UnitedHealthcare government programs

  • Offer ongoing member education and member servicing

  • Maintain accurate records for reporting purposes

  • Meet monthly targets for applications received

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years in a direct sales related or social service/community capacity or customer service management

  • Travel locally up to 90% of time within assigned sales territory

  • Familiar with enrollment and eligibility New York's public health insurance programs

  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Live within a commutable distance of one of the locations listed for this specific career opportunity

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prior Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Medicare, Dual Eligible products, direct sales or social service experience

  • Certified Application Counselor certification highly desired

  • Bi-lingual

  • Healthcare experience in a community sales/marketing role

  • Experience in home health, hospice or related industry

  • Customer service experience in a health related field

  • Have established professional relationships with referrals/ community sources in designated sales area

  • Prior care management / care coordination experience

  • Experience conducting home visits and providing telephonic support

  • Experience working with communities of all different ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, diverse populations and/or underserved communities
