As the Health Care Economics Consultant you will research and investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare costs data. You will provide management with statistical findings and conclusions, and identify potential areas for medical cost improvements and alternative pricing strategies. • Develop, monitor, and evolve the payment incentive model


• Support complex contractual financial arrangements


• Provide data analysis, contract auditing, and metrics reporting to management


• Performing reconciliations to determine if physicians have met contractual obligations


• Develop, analyze and monitor new, routine and ad hoc reports


• Work independently and interact with external constituencies

• 2 + years of financial analysis experience


• Proficient with MS Excel for data analysis and presentation


• Ability to work with and manage large amounts of data


• Strong facilitation, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making and analytical skills


• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills


• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

• Medical cost or healthcare financial analysis experience


• Experience with SQL or SAS for data extraction and manipulation


• Proficient with MS Access


• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
