Job Description:
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Assist with opening and closing of store.
2. Assist office personnel with daily operations (answering phone, preparing fertilizer blender work orders, quoting customers pricing and availability of product, filing daily paperwork and other secretarial responsibilities).
3. Assist with management responsibilities, not limited to managing maintenance of rolling stock and equipment, assisting with physical inventories, scheduling deliveries and other duties as assigned.
3. Physically load fertilizer blender with materials using batch orders generated from work orders.
4. Assist with housekeeping and organizing office area and warehouse facilities. Keep inventory organized and well stocked. Daily responsibility of keeping warehouse clean and orderly.
5. Physically load purchases into customer vehicles.
6. Assist in delivering goods and services to farm, as necessary. Pickup product from neighboring stores and warehouse facilities to maintain adequate inventory levels.
7. Drive customer sales by assisting Manager with programming and executing grower meetings. Emphasis on agronomy and core agriculture production.
8. Give and follow written and verbal instructions for daily production tasks.
9. Follow safe working rules and practices.
10. Perform other production tasks as needed.
- Must have a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior agriculture production experience a plus.
- Work experience on a dairy/beef operation, preferably with agronomy skills.
- Prior fertilizer or crop protectant application experience would be helpful.
- CDL-class B is a plus
