As a IT Project Manager you will Support financial applications, managing multiple projects over multiple releases, responsible for project scope, schedule, budget, quality and benefits.


Primary Responsibilites:



  • Lead large, complex projects and programs to achieve key business objectives and ensure successful completion

  • Participate in the development of business and IT strategy

  • Heavily involved with setting up recurring status meetings with the business and IT, fielding questions from the business, as well as handling issues that arise from the business

  • Speaking to details of the project to both the business and technical teams from beginning to end of all projects

  • Gathering and updating project materials, completing budgeting, forecasting, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents

  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business

  • Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

  • Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches

  • Direct cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams

  • Create an maintain dynamic schedules in Microsoft project

  • Managing multiple separate schedules and reporting them to a segment-wide view through a MS-Project master schedule

  • Use Excel to prepare project and program financial reports, including summarization of extracts from time reporting tools such as Planview

  • Use Visio to document technical and business processes clearly, including experience with Swim lanes and other standard procedural diagrams

  • Use PowerPoint to document project Status and other forms of project communication

  • Managing cross-functional interdependencies

  • Formulate and execute escalations for projects with major issues to senior management, and direct follow-up via direct reports or project team members

  • Providing risk management and issue/problem resolution as required

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of IT Project Management experience

  • 5+ years of working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle

  • Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions

  • 5+ years executing complex projects in an IT environment. Some preference given to executing in healthcare environments and Fortune 100 companies, but not essential

  • 5+ years experience managing projects involving complex testing environments including mainframes, such as banks, pension funds, insurance companies

  • Experience in a supporting portfolio management role, where this means helping oversee and administer a group of projects and programs loosely connected only by

  • common funding sources or common stakeholders

  • 5+ years experience with software development projects

  • Ability to create and maintain dynamic schedules in Microsoft project

  • Considerable expertise in a robust project and program management tools such as Planview, Clarity, HP PPM, MS Project Server or similar

  • Experience using Excel to prepare project and program financial reports, including summarization of extracts from time reporting tools such as Planview

  • Ability to use PowerPoint to document project status

  • Must be able to work in Greenville, SC or Minnetonka, MN office 

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proficiency with MS Project

  • Proficiency with PowerPoint

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Healthcare Industry experience
