The Billing Director is responsible for daily operations of all Billing functions, including coordination with hospital departments affecting Billing processes. The Director interprets policies and procedures, recommends changes as appropriate, and provides relevant feedback to Sacramento CBO leadership in order to meet department and organizational goals with respect to revenue recognition and collection. The focus of this position is to ensure an adequate balance between the legal and financial responsibility to ensure compliance with external laws and regulations, and the responsibility to provide service to Sacramento CBO departments and staff. The position requires coordinated activity across organizational lines to ensure a unified and proactive billing process within the organizational units that are services by the Sacramento CBO. As the Billing leader, this person also serves as a key promoter of the Sacramento CBO as a service organization which strives to meet and exceed the needs of its customers.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management (Billing and Collections)

  • 7+ years of billing operational experience

  • 5+ years of billing operations management experience

  • Process improvement experience

  • Experience in previous hospital system billing and collections

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with MS4, SSI, Cerner

  • Experience with implementation of billing Systems and EHR
