Operations Manager / Supervisor needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Melville, NY.


What You'll Be Doing:



    - Provides line management and supervision to assigned employees in order to attain performance goals.
    - Identifies and corrects performance problems.
    - Ensures compliance with company policies and directives.
    - Responsible for the daily coordination and scheduling of mechanics toward schedule adherence.
    - Coordinates manpower and machinery to attain daily departmental requirements as outlined by manager.
    - Supervises and prioritizes activities of six mechanics in the packaging of safe and effective product in an efficient manner.
    - Ensures equipment is installed, set up, and maintained properly, and continuously improves production operations by improving safety and quality while reducing costs.
    - Works cross functionally with peers and management to ensure production priorities and initiatives are achieved

What You Need to Bring to the Table:



    - Associates degree or technical school diploma and or combination of equivalent experience.
    - Conceptual understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices 21 CFR §211
    - Minimum of five (5) years in an FDA regulated Industry and Packaging Equipment
    - Experience with scheduling preventive maintenance (PM) task lists and ensuring proper documentation to maintain FDA compliant operation.
    - Experience with Troubleshooting mechanical and process failures and suggesting resolutions.
    - Ensures production equipment set-ups are completed in the timeframe required to meet department expectations and efficiencies.
    - Experience maintaining compliance with Company policies and safety standards, such as Lock Out / Tag Out, good housekeeping practices, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
    - Experience promoting and contributing to the team by carrying out responsibilities in a professional manner.
    - Experience with adhering to all applicable procedures, cGMP's, company policies, and all other quality or regulatory requirements (OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E, etc.). Ensures all work is performed in a safe, effective manner, and in compliance with the appropriate industry and regulatory (FDA, DEA, OSHA) standards, and Departmental, Plant, and Corporate quality and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) goals.
