General Summary: The Residential Technician is the entry level position in the Clinical Services department. Residential Technicians are responsible for the daily supervision of the treatment program's community and attends to the client's essential needs while on detoxification or residential status.
Job Duties*:
1. Completion of all duties and/or documentation within Company and ADP timelines
2. Client rounds on a half hour basis and documentation on rounds sheet
3. Responsible to read shift log at beginning of shift and complete their own shift log and essential tasks contained therein by conclusion of shift.
4. Complete new admission intake procedures according to Company policies on all new admissions (UA, belongings searches, and paperwork).
5. Documentation of daily progress in client files. Overnight staff to document quantity and quality of sleep in progress notes.
6. Monitor and document client taking medications in accordance to Company and ADP guidelines
7. Monitor and document client blood pressure and other vitals in accordance to Company and ADP guidelines
8. Transportation of clients to appointments, meetings etc.
9. Crisis Intervention
10. Logging of new medications or medication changes according to ADP and Company procedures.
11. Filing, copying files, and other office duties as assigned.
12. Assist, teach and/or supervise clients with general program activities
13. Maintain cleanliness, food preparation, and clean up as required.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Special consideration is given to applicants with previous experience in residential treatment.
2. Registered Recovery Worker or Certification preferred
3. Knowledge of the fundamentals of addiction and 12-step philosophy preferred
4. Current registration/or ability to register as a Registered Recovery Worker
5. Minimum 2 years of sobriety for individuals in recovery
6. One year of experience in a human services setting; strong professional references attesting to high degree of customer service, punctuality, and professionalism.
7. Ability to prioritize and perform with minimal direction
8. Computer literate and ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally with clients, administration, the treatment team and family members
9. Ability to function independently
10. Certification in First Aid/CPR prior to date of hire
11. Clean DMV record and/or meet criteria in accordance with Company insurance policy requirements.
12. Valid California Driver's License.
