Key Responsibilities
The incumbent must be able to perform maintenance functions as directed, using hand and powered tools and large equipment. This includes advanced skills in carpentry, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, painting and fabrication, piping, reading of blue prints (mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic), design and fabricate plant vessels, and concrete work. This position will handle troubleshooting and record keeping. Meet 5-S goals in areas where responsible. Complies with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and procedures at all times. Must be willing to participate in team activities (Ergo, BBS observer, quality auditor, or 5S). Candidate will perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Experience and Education
Must have at least 2-5 years of experience in plant equipment operations or maintenance
Functional and Technical Skills
Must be able to perform safe operation of all powered hand tools including forklifts and man lifts with or without reasonable accommodation. Must have advanced understanding of electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, and steam systems. Must have intermediate computer skills. Incumbent is required to have demonstrated leadership skills to lead team projects including personnel involved in projects Prefer that the incumbent has passed the Supervisory Assessment program (not mandatory). Incumbent must qualify and serve as the plant OSHA Confined Space Entry Trainer Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English. Must be able perform above basic mathematical calculations, follow SOP’s and wear/use required PPE with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to work any shift. Must be able to work overtime, as necessary
