Immediate opening for an experience parts manager. In this position, the right candidate will undertake to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory and sell parts to all customers (over-the-counter sales, shop sales or phone sales). In addition, the Parts Manager’s obligation is to achieve sales goals set by ASFE Business Plan, which includes
The use of proper purchasing procedures
Inventory control
Safekeeping of inventory
Price control
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Placing daily parts orders as needed for all product lines (includes weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and seasonal parts orders).
Placing parts orders for the Service Department.
Working with each Service Technician to ensure a timely turn-around of parts needed for all internal and external service repairs.
Receiving and posting all incoming parts orders into inventory software.
All incoming orders are to be checked, matched and marked to purchase orders, packing slips and invoices to ensure accuracy.
Any back-ordered or missing parts should identified and handled promptly to ensure a timely resolution.
This includes the returning of cores and the follow-up for receipt of credit.
Responsible for loading and unloading of parts that are shipped to ASFE. This also includes assisting with the unloading of whole-goods that are received for delivery.
Provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers.
Assist all retail and shop customers in selecting required parts in a friendly and professional manner.
If any technical assistance is needed, it will be provided to the extent of the knowledge of the parts manager.
Answer incoming phone calls to the dealership and direct to the proper department.
Calls regarding parts sales, quotes, special orders or phone orders will be followed up by the parts manager.
Pull and fill orders from stock.
In-store merchandising.
Keep current on new products and product updates.
Participate in all training programs that are made available.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Job requirements – Minimum Requirements
Must have a valid MS Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
Must have a minimum of 5 years prior parts experience.
Must be able to bend, stoop, lift (a minimum 40lbs), and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
