About this job

  • Responsible for directing the activities of the Front Desk Clerks to ensure the smooth flow of operations in the Front Desk on assigned shift.
  • Directs and leads the activities of the Front Desk Clerks to ensure the smooth flow of operations in the Front Desk on assigned shift.
  • Schedules all Clerks breaks and lunches on assigned shift to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Coordinates with the different departments concerned regarding changes in promotions, events, hotel rates, etc. Updates the Front Desk boards and informs the Clerks on these changes.
  • Answers all guests’ complaints and billing problems.
  • Coordinates with Bus Promotions arrival of busses for group check in. Blocks the required rooms for the group guests.
  • Updates regularly the hotel occupancy board and coordinates with different departments regarding room availability.
  • Coordinates with housekeeping and engineering departments regarding on-going maintenance projects in the hotel.
  • Prints out the daily occupancy report and distributes same to the departments concerned.
  • Maintains an inventory of supplies and forms used in the Front Desk. Makes requisition to replenish the same as the need arises.
  • Sees to it that the Front Desk is kept neat and clean at all times.
  • Performs the duties of the Front Desk Clerk as the need arises.

Performs other duties as may be assigned.

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the .
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have at least one (1) year related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; and ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Has responsibility for the work of over 10 employees. Responsibilities include instructing and directing work; coordinating work and controlling work quality.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for extended periods of time; use hands to handle objects, tools and operate the computer; and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is exposed to extreme temperatures and smoky atmosphere.
