As a Lead Production Operations Engineer with OptumInsight, you will be a member of a dynamic team responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing complex issues involving server capacity, SQL Server stored procedures, and web enabled applications in a SaaS environment. Your responsibilities may include:



  • Perform Web, Windows, Java, network and possibly SQL configuration changes as needed to keep pace with rapidly changing complex SAAS product line served from a remote data center.

  • Perform product updates both manually and by way of automated tools like Anthill Pro, and Red Gate. 

  • Provide system analysis and design in order to make or prioritize improvements to operations. 

  • Report to Director of Production Control, must have excellent communication skills. 

  • Work with a team of Analysts to monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and communicate to support about system, production, or product issues and data processing delays. 

  • Requires highly developed analysis and troubleshooting skills relative to network and SAN basic knowledge, Windows 2008, SQL 2012, IIS 6 & 7, Java & JBOSS, Virtual machines, Clustering, and custom written application functionality. 

  • Monitors utilized will include, Foglight, Ignite, DynaTrace, Gomez, DCRUM, Argent and custom created monitors. 

  • Best candidate will demonstrate ability to find solutions to issues that other highly trained technical resources might miss; need to be especially detail orientated, with the ability to ignore distraction from potential meaningless errors.

  • Duties require on call rotation, and occasionally assigned non-standard work hours including overnight and weekend work. 

  • Requires updates to operating procedures, and potentially assisting in training other analysts in the group, and assisting support in improvement of troubleshooting and issue clarification methods. 

  • Candidate must have experience changing validating and troubleshooting a production windows server environment.  Best candidate will have experience administering or building such an environment. 

  • Must have experience supporting proprietary web applications, best candidate will also have working knowledge of SQL server, java apps, and software development life cycle.

 


 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Three years working in support and administration of Windows Server environment (Windows server 2003-2008 preferred)

  • Three years working in support and administration of IIS 5, 6, & 7 Web Applications and .NET, or Microsoft web developer certification.

  • One year working in support of JAVA or JBOSS Apps, or Silverlight out of browser applications

  • One year SQL Server support and administration experience or Microsoft DBA Certification

  • One year working with system monitoring software like SCOM, ARGENT, FogLight, Dynatrace, DCRUM, Gomez, or equivalent.  Must have experience configuring and tuning alerts and scheduled reports.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Four year computer science/technology degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Development of QA experience

  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing complex issues involving server capacity, SQL Server stored procedures, and web enabled applications in a SaaS environment
