A successful Human Resources Advisor will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least three years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience
  • Solid knowledge of local, state and federal laws governing recruiting and employment issues
  • Must have solid knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques and requirements of applicable law
  • Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff, including executives
  • Must possess strong interviewing skills
  • Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Requires high level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
  • Flexible, innovative in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment

The Human Resources Advisor supports the Direct Sales division of DISH.  The main function of this position is to support HR processes in a telesales-based environment with an emphasis on full-cycle recruitment. This individual will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large.  In addition this role will be responsible for facilitating benefits training sessions, roundtable sessions and Hiring Workshops. Other responsibilities listed below:

 

  • Participates in the review of operational business strategy and objectives to determine the implication on human resources objectives
  • Partner with hiring managers to scope job position to gain a solid understanding of not only the skills and educational requirements, but also to determine the qualities and attributes of a successful candidate for the specific team
  • Mine, source and screen candidates, interview, set up interviews for hiring managers, administer candidate exercises, background checks and drug screenings, conduct reference checks and extend job offers
  • Leverage online recruiting resources and in-house ATS to identify and recruit the very best candidates
  • Envision and execute creative ideas to drive qualified applicant flow
  • Maintain a working knowledge of DISH Network HR policies and procedures, and benefits to be able to communicate with departments on HR and Company initiatives, particularly those related to recruiting
  • Consults with department managers to determine appropriate human resources priorities
  • Facilitates all New Hire Orientations and Hiring Workshops
  • Conducts employee exit interviews 
  • Processes tuition reimbursement and conducts regular benefits refresher training, and assists in maintaining employee files
  • Conducts training of human resources objectives to management including regulatory compliance training, policy and procedures training and corporate communication initiatives
  • Reports recommendations and alternatives to human resources strategy to higher level managers
  • Works independently on objectives
  • Maintains excellent relationships with both direct business partners and peripheral departments that interact with direct support groups (i.e. closely related departments, payroll, accounting, etc.)
