POSITION PURPOSE-
The Senior Designer Print & Digital works directly the Merchant and sales team to concept, design, develop, and implement all print, digital, or video related marketing materials and communications that support the brand strategy.

This position will be responsible for exploration, conceptualization, and execution of design options and solutions for current business and future business concepts.

The Senior Designer Print & Digital will work with the Project Manager to support production schedule and workflow of team and to act as liaison between creative team and technology resources, agencies, and internal partners.

This designer will also produce print/electronic catalogs and sales collateral to support monthly and annual promotions and branding. 

MAJOR TASKS, RESPOSIBILITIES & KEY ACCOUTABILITES -
Builds team of designers and agency partners.

Works with Creative Manager, Sr. Editor and technology resources to implement Web projects.

Develops and implements schedule for online visual layouts, product images, banners, email campaigns, and interactive presentations.

Creates and maintains Web standards for photography, fonts, templates, and colors and ensures all creative elements are consistent with those criteria.

Works closely with Advertising peers to exchange information and synchronize creative elements, systems, and equipment upgrades.

Selects, develops, and motivates assigned staff.

NATURE AND SCOPE -
Typically reports to Mgr. eBusiness Creative Services
Direct and indirect reports typically include up to 8 professionals

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or
equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 5

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong knowledge and skill in PhotoShop, Illustrator; HTML, Dreamweaver Premier, Powerpoint and UX design

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES -
-
Experience with database merge to execute creative material or supporting collateral
-Good copy writing and database skills are ideal
-Strong technical knowledge of various Web platforms, processes, and best practices
-Experience launching/maintaining a Web site
-Ability to conceptualize, present and execute creative designs appropriate for Web vehicles
-Experience incorporating UX and UI design concepts into web design
-Experience developing successful email campaigns that incorporate A/B testing and drive engagement among target audiences
-Knowledge of digital design principals, tools, and industry standards
-Understanding of core marketing principals; ability to use design to drive behavior and engagement
-Ability to prioritize projects when multiple tasks and deadlines are approaching
-Strict attention to detail
-Ability to develop original ideas, concepts, and designs that align with creative briefs and input while also adhering to target audience’s needs
-Understanding of how responsive design, progressive enhancement, and other digital and technical trends impact UX, UI, design, and performance
-Working technical knowle
