Aerotek is currently seeking a qualified PLC Professional for a position at a local industrial facility in North Portland. This position will require overtime on rotating shifts. This client offers amazing benefits including 100% paid medical for employee & family.
On a daily basis this individual will be providing maintenance & operational support and resolution of control system problems. This individual will be responsible for first-line troubleshooting and problem resolution. They will also be maintaining high-tech instrumentation, maintaining and supporting mill information system infrastructure. They will also work with Process Automation engineers on projects to improve productivity, quality, yield and reliability of the industrial facility.
Minimum Requirements
- Two year associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, equivalent or relevant experience.
- Experience with control systems (Siemens)
- Experience with SQL databases
- Computer software skills (MS Office preferred) - Able to work in an industrial environment
- Able and willing to support the 24 hour rolling mill operation trough variable shifts and/or on-call
- Able to follow standards in automation and control software discipline
