Aerotek is now hiring in partnership with Pella Corporation. Pella Corporation is a privately held window and door manufacturing company headquartered in Pella, Iowa. Pella Corporation is growing and currently seeking contract to hire for first and third shift production assemblers in their Gettysburg manufacturing facility.

As an assembler for Pella Corporation you will be responsible for the assembly of various types of doors and windows in a fast paced manufacturing environment. The current available openings on first shift are from Monday - Friday with the hours of 7:00am to 3:00pm and may include overtime daily extending to 5:00pm and Saturday overtime as needed from 6:00am to 2:00pm. The current available openings on third shift are from Sunday night - Wednesday night with the hours of 8:30 pm - 6:30 am and may include overtime on Thursday night (8:30 pm - 6:30 am) and Friday night (7:30 pm - 3:30 am).

REQUIREMENTS:

Physical job tasks - ability to lift, push, pull at least 50 lb.

Ability to work on paced production lines

Ability to comprehend and follow standard work steps

Ability to be trained and rotated through at least 2 different work stations

Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment - PPE required

  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection
  • Gloves
  • Arm guards when handling glass and operating saws

Ability to work in a non-air conditioned environment

Eligible candidates will work for a temporary period of time through Aerotek and will be eligible for full time hire after successful completion of an introductory period. This eligibility will be based strongly on attendance and performance standards.

Candidates will need to submit to a drug and background test as well as completion of a pre-employment physical/lift test.

Pay for first shift will start at $11.50 per hour and pay for third shift will start at $12.00 per hour. After completion of a probationary period candidates will be eligible to transition and will be paid $13.20 per hour and become eligible for bonuses. Candidates will also have the ability to make up to $15.00 per hour within the first year of employment.

Pella Corporation provides medical & dental insurance after completion of a 60 day waiting period following conversion to full time.
