PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for safely operating rides and serving our guests within Nickelodeon Universe.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
*Operate a variety of mechanical and non-mechanical rides
*Scan guest's point passes and wristbands
*Assist with the loading and unloading of guests on the rides.
*Follow all safety requirements for each ride, including height requirements, chaperone policy, and rider safety guidelines
*Ensure that all guests are properly restrained prior to the start of the ride cycle.
*Monitor the guests inside and outside of the ride during the entire ride cycle.
*Understand and execute evacuation procedures.
*Use a microphone to voice over instructions or concerns.
*Ensure the overall safety of guests while on the ride as well as in the ride area.
*Daily cleaning of the ride area by sweeping floors, wiping down the ride and emptying trash containers.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
*May perform the function of a custodian cleaning for Nickelodeon Universe, Rides or Food Courts.
*May provide support in other work areas as needed.
*Performs other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
*Must be at least 18 years of age.
*Previous guest service experience
*Enjoy working in a family oriented environment
*Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
*Must be detail oriented and safety minded.
*Must be observant
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
*Perform repetitive motion - frequently, 90% of time
*Stand and move - frequently, 90% of time
*Reach at or below shoulder level - frequently, 90% of time
*Reach at or above shoulder level - occasionally, 30% of time
