SUMMARY: Directs the business development effort to capture opportunities for AAR Mobility System AAR MS within OEM/Major Primes for Pallets, Containers and Shelters The incumbent will:
1) identify and develop contacts within major OEMs;
2) develop new and apply existing contacts to increase successful opportunities for AAR MS;
3) collaborate with AAR MS sales and marketing personnel to enable a coordinated effort;
4) lead efforts to penetrate current and new major OEMs; and
5)track and coordinate opportunities and contacts within major OEMs .

Incumbent leverages his/her knowledge of, and skills related to:
1) sales and marketing;
2) Government Programs and Budgetary Management;
3) Government Departments to include the Department of Defense, Department of State, Department of Homeland Security;
4) contracting mechanisms to provide services and products; and
5) Major OEMs and their Procurement/Project Management/Development systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements: developing and negotiating contracts/agreements: integrating contract requirements with operations. Investigate conditions surrounding business activity such as industry trends and competition. Work with OEMs to identify new opportunities that match AAR MS current capabilities or adjacent and expansion of capabilities. Work with OEMs to develop and support a capture plan with realistic goals and objectives and provides input to targeted marketing methods.

Contact executives and managers to gain intelligence related to customer's requirements. Apply a team approach; work with others in pursuing common goals.

Assist in the creation and implementation of operational growth, business development and customer relation plans. Translate strategic initiatives into qualified opportunities and employ capture process to improve win performance rate. Contribute to proposal development.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 5 years Defense Required.

Preferred: Lean Six Sigma black belt training; military contracting or procurement-related education (e.g., certification); marketing; business.
