Aerotek, Inc. is searching for the next Jr.-mid level civil engineer for a growing multi-discpline consulting engineering firm in the Portland, OR. area. This is a very laid back environment and this position is meant to be groomed into a senior engineering role in the future.
Summary of Needed Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* Professional engineer licensure or the ability to obtain within 1 year
* 3 to 5+ years of experience in site/civil land development engineering and permitting (including: land development planning, permitting, stormwater management and infrastructure design)
* Experience in industrial plant site development is a plus. Emphasis at this time is on oil and shale gas operations and energy sector facilities. Required tasks include performing site due diligence, assisting with the preparation of land use designs, associated permitting, and understanding of local, state and federal land use and environmental laws.
* Experience presenting at municipal agencies and public forums a plus
* Willingness to learn and participate in client development and client management
* Strong technical skills, analytical ability and attention to detail
* Demonstrated ability to work with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
* Excellent communication and management skills
* Experience in report and proposal writing including sub-contractor cost estimation
* Willingness to assist in other technical disciplines when required;
* Availability for out of state travel and to work occasional evenings and weekends (10% or less travel)
