About this job

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for, but not limited to: 

-       Responsible for the overall operations for the Back of House Kitchen area of the restaurant.

-       Assist the Owners and General Manager with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training BOH staff.

-       Weekly inventory and ordering products for delivery and maintaining a well-organized kitchen with every item put in its place.

-       Ensure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. 

-       Creating, reviewing and performing “Evaluations” with all BOH employees. 

-       Ensuring all paperwork is updated including Par Sheets, Scheduling, Waste Sheet, Checklists, Deep Cleaning Checklist, etc.

-       In charge of executing pre-existing recipes and updating the staff on all recipe changes and updates.

-       Assist with scheduling, cleaning, and maintenance in accordance with the guidance of the restaurant’s owner or general manager.

-       Read More...Work with the established menu and ensure these menu items are prepared in a proper, timely manner. When new items are added to the menu, the kitchen manager helps execute new items and makes sure other staff are trained.

-       These managers also assist with scheduling and execution of prep work during the workday. They assist the GM with scheduling employees based upon expected business levels.

-       Supervise and inspect all cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance in the back-of-house area to ensure safe food preparation and overall workplace safety.
