SUMMARY: This role is packed with variety so you'll never be bored. General HR duties, mostly of an administration/coordination nature while also conducting at least 70 % payroll duties. PAYROLL DUTIES: 70 % of payroll duties will be conducted in this position. Must have current knowledge of all payroll processes. Processing weekly pay Reviewing time sheets for accuracy Ensuring payroll adjustments are accurate Uploading payroll payments Distributing weekly payments Distributing weekly payslips Managing leave queries and other payroll related concerns and issues. Processing allowances. Completing legislative documentation as required. HR DUTIES: Assist with the recruiting process including preparing job descriptions, writing and placing job advertisements, screening CV's and interact with recruitment agencies. Coordinating review catch ups with new employees and managers. Attending career fairs. Managing document control: employee listings, electronic filing, contact lists and organization charts. Coordinating the staff on-boarding and exit processes. Coordinating the health and safety program. Maintaining insurance documents. EXPERIENCE: Must have 3 yrs+ of current working knowledge of payroll functions as well as employment legislation in HR. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft office suites including Visio, and Power point. Some exposure to HR databases would be ideal. Previous experience within a large complex organization would give you a distinct advantage. KEY AREAS: Accuracy-Confidentiality-Customer Service-Time Management-Reporting & Document Control-Process Improvement. Must meet Background, education and drug screening guidelines.
