Sales leadership position responsible for achieving revenue and profitability objective for the Key Accounts Segments in the region. Responsible for the sales staff in the region and manages the distribution of all the company's Products and Services. Develops annual region business plan to meet each of Key Accounts health plan's membership, revenue and profitability objectives in the region


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Designs and implements sales strategies for all products for the Key Accounts markets

  • Sub-segments to support health plans, business plans and achieves regional goals

  • Implements the regions market sales process to support each health plan's business plans in the market segment and establishes management systems to monitor the sales process

  • Develops best practices and works to implement those based on local market conditions

  • Recruits, develops, maintains and organizes the sales force with an emphasis on sales management

  • Develops long-term strategic sales directions for the region and provides input for Key Accounts markets

  • Ultimate accountability for business results

  • Monitors the business plan throughout the year

  • Possesses expert consultative skills

  • Makes advice known through strategic direction

  • Determines business solutions that positively impact the organization's profitability

  • Decisions determine the focus of the business and market

  • Requires clear consistent communication to reach the goals of the organization

  • Decisions impact the profitability of business, the perception of the customer and the organization

  • Influences new products on the market

  • Involved in product development initiative

  • Identifies new products that will be profitable for the organization

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Masters degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience

  • 10+ years management experience, including the ability to create a strong and aggressive Sales culture throughout the sales organization

  • Demonstrates a successful history of sales and sales management in the managed health care industry

  • Possesses a strong track record in results-oriented, sales environment

  • Demonstrates experience in full-range health care products, including but not limited to HMO,POS, PPO, Indemnity and specialty products

  • Possesses solid knowledge of health care systems and financing approaches and demonstrates the ability to apply it in developing local sales strategies

  • Travel as required

  • State Life and Health Insurance License
